For Thanksgiving we flew to Portland, Oregon to have the long weekend with my brother Frank and his family, and Pam traveled from Kinnewick with her family as well. We had a blast! Breann had to read the safety instructions at least 5 times, put it back in the pouch behind the seat and get it out again. Breann slept the whole way there on the plane. (thank heavens, we didn't know what to expect.) Frank picked us up at the airport and took us for alittle scenic tour of the city on the way to his house. I forgot how beautiful Portland is. We had fun at his house then went to our hotel to get some shut eye because we had to get up early the next day.
Frank came to the hotel at 6:30 Thanksgiving moring to take me the Thanksgiving Turkey tort at the Zoo. I had so much fun re-connecting with my brother. It has been years since we have seen each other and I don't think we have ever had one on one time. It was truly a visit i will never forget. His knees were giving him grief, so he did not run but was kind enough to wait at the finish line.
Pam met us at Frank's house early afternoon. I really miss seeing her and her family. Ever since she moved to Washington, we have not seen each other as much as we would like. Before she moved, she would just come down to SLC for the day and go home. I truly miss her. I cherish every moment that we can steal to have sister time. Thanksgiving dinner was good. It was over casted ( I know a shocker for Portland) but i think I'm used to colder weather and maybe snow. So to me and Matt it was nice.
Friday morning, we went to Cannon Beach. It was soooo cold and windy but to me it was perfect. I forgot Breann's winter coat at the hotel and she was not happy about having a huge blanket around her with no movement what so ever, so we could not spend to much time out side and still have a happy baby. Us girls did some shopping and the boys checked out a huge rock. The drive was beautiful and scenic.
By Saturday morning we were ready to go home. Breann and I had to share a bed while Matt got the other queen to himself. My ribs hurt from Breann kicking me for two days and achy because I dare not move for fear that she would wake up. Needless to say Matt and I agreed that if he EVER got a job offer to move to Portland we are there in a heartbeat!

Halloween Costume

I met Pam in Idaho and she took some way cute photo's of Breann. She is a Bunny and a Fairy. Thanks Abby for the costume. She looks almost as cute as Sophie does :)
Matt and I have been working on keeping her hat on her all month. She want's to tear it off as fast as we put it on her. Thanks to Jordan and Chloe making cute funny sounds,it distracted her.

Her hair is finally long enough to put in a little pony tail. When i took her picture I put her in a Big person chair all by herself and she thought she was in seventh heaven! Her smile says it all.

My Sweet Baby Girl

Every time i see her smile my heart swells up a little bit. I just love her! I get sooo excited that she is constantly learning new things just learningn how to pick up her cheerios with her cute fingers is so cute. I feel like it is going way to fast. I want to stop time for a bit and just watch her.

New Family Pictures

It has bee what seems like forever since i have blogged. Matt and I are going to school and with work and taking care of a family it has been way to busy and insane to keep up with everything.
My twin sister Pam came from Washington to take our pictures at Thanksgiving Point. She always does an amazing job and I feel so lucky that she has such an amazing talent that she shares with me. It was a perfect day, yes it was a bit cloudy but not many people, so basically we got amy shot we want. Breann woke up from her nap in a bad mood, so it was a bit challanging to get her cooperate. We went with Erin and her family and they got amazing pictures as well. It was alot of fun.

A Blessing for Breann

I am so proud of my little girl. On May 4,2008 Breann Pamela Bartlett was blessed. My mom made her blessing dress and it turned out so beautiful. It was so much fun to have ALL the family there and those of you there in spirit. My house was FULL for 3 days of family and friends and i loved it.

Tmeple Square

Temple Square was amazingly beautiful! My Aunt Darlene and Uncle Ron were sealed for time and all eternity on May 3, 2008. After more than 30 years of marriage and my Uncle Rons conversion to the church they were sealed. They have 3 sons and 2 of them were sealed to them. It was truley a memory that I will treasure forever. The picture of my Aunt and Uncle are at the top of the page, this is a picture of them with the missionary and his wife who taught my Uncle Ron the gospel.
After the temple, Pam took pictures of my little family. It was fun. Breann was googing to Pam while we were getting our pictures taken. We got some of the cutest pictures from that. She is soooo BIG. I cant believe how time flys. I swear to you i just found out we were pregnant. I LOVE getting mommy hugs from her, they are priceless, she has barely learned to kiss, which is sucking the crap out of your face and I love those too. :)

Our first fmaily 5k run. On April 26, 2008 Matt, Breann and I got up at 5:30 in the monring to catch the 6:30 shuttle from the gateway to the start line at Liberty Park. Utah Oprthpedic Specialist has a contest with the Medical Utah Association on who can get the biggest group and we won with 93 people signed up. My office makes t-shirts for us this year it was tourquoise. After the race, we go to a park behind the capitol for a brunch. Breann slpet the whole race. We had so much fun.

mommy time

Breann loves her daddy so much. She looks at him with puppy eyes, he melts and gives her what ever she needs. Every day he says to her "Hi sweetie!, How are you doing?" Of course he says it in a lisp that makes her smile. It is so cute! He said when she was born the birthing room got a brighter and there was peace in the air. I have to agree with you, our home has been happier and complete since she has come into our lives.

5. How long were you in labor? 18 hours. The time went by really fast. I only pushed for 40 minutes.
6. What’s your favorite thing about being a mom? I love the kisses, the hugs, the smiles, the playing, I love it when i'm the first thing she sees in the morning. Her smile stays with me all day!
7. What’s your least favorite thing? Probably the sickness and moodiness

9. Have you ever taken your kid(s) on a trip? Just to Idaho to see my family.
10. How many times have you been peed on? just a few, i like to think i have cat like reflexes
